SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Lee Owens Foundation will oversee the coordination, review and dissemination of information that informs potential candidates about issues that impact the intellectual, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual development of our future aviators. The foundation will seek to identify the achievements that are most consistently identified with aviation excellence and shape
those ideas to fit our common goals.
The Lee Owens Foundation is responsible for encouraging and facilitating the development of forthcoming initiatives that address the needs of future minority aviators. Additionally, the Lee Owens Foundation is committed to the development of America’s young aviators. To further promote excellence in talented young potential aviators as they pursue higher education goals, the foundation will provide scholarships to deserving college students on an equal opportunity basis regardless of race, sex, creed, or religious preference. The national lectures and school visiting programs provide an opportunity to identify potential scholarship applicants.
Partnerships with corporations, other foundations and individuals ensure continued sponsorship of our scholarship programs. The Lee Owens Foundation is extremely important force in promoting the ongoing needs of the national scholarship goals in local and national communities by showcasing the academic excellence and intellect among our young aviators and cultivating relationships with businesses.
The Lee Owens Foundation provides annual scholarship awards to deserving matriculating aviation students who will be full-time students at accredited, post-secondary institutions based on the foundation’s eligibility criteria. Scholarship dollars assist potential aviators in completing educational goals by providing resources to offset expenses associated with tuition, books and housing. The scholarship program allows the foundation to identify potential youth aviators in our communities and motivates them to achieve academic and community service excellence.
The Lee Owens Foundation provides professional aviation opportunities (on a compensation basis) that are educationally enriching, character building, and provide leadership skill development to students ages 16-23. Academic and actual flight settings make up these experiential learning opportunities.
